Stan van Baarsen

Hi, I'm Stan van Baarsen. I have a background in computer science and tech policy and currently work on building AI in Europe.

This year, I co-authored Europe 2031, a scenario piece outlining what might happen to Europe if we fail to play a role in AI, and what policymakers can do today to change course.

In 2025, I co-authored the AI Delta Plan, the national AI strategy for the Netherlands that was incorporated into the Dutch government's 2026-2030 coalition agreement.
